Bruce trained at the ABC, gaining a firm grounding in all technical aspects of the television industry. He specialised in audio and has worked in Studios, Outside Broadcast and as a sound recordist for ENG style programs in Sydney and all over Australia. Highlights have included working on Play School, being part of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race coverage and producing frontline news and regional stories supporting the ABC's experienced journalists and camera operators such as multi-award winning Louie Eroglu.
His freelance experience now extends across television production both Australia wide and International, from My Kitchen Rules, Celebrity Apprentice, Masterchef and The One to FoxSports NRL; from Sydney 2000 Paralympics to the Commonwealth Games, New Delhi in 2010 and travelling around Australia with British Sky Sports for the 2010/11 Ashes Cricket Series.

As a musician himself Bruce has always brought his experienced ear and musicality to the audio production of both live and studio performances.
He has worked on live music on TV as part of Andrew Denton's "Blah Blah Blah" ,"Evenings with James O'Loghlin" as well as "Good News Week" and the high quality "Studio 22".
He has experience at live indoor and outdoor gigs, including the television coverage of the Sydney New Year's Eve concert and fireworks as well as enjoying recording voice and music productions in his home studio. He has enjoyed operating on live performances for artists such as Lior, Idea of North and Don Walker.
